Challenge
As part of the annual APAC Services executive meeting, Sun required media training for 22 attendees to ensure consistent messaging and corporate guidelines were followed during all media interactions. As the executives were flying in from all over the region timing for the event was tight and only half a day was available to train all 22 executives.
Solution
As n2n had conducted media training for all ANZ spokespeople, Sun engaged n2n to undertake the training of 22 executives. In order to complete the training in the allotted time, n2n divided the executives into two groups – those that had regular contact with the media and would be expected to be the main spokespeople in their region for Services and those that would not have regular contact.
As a result, n2n spilt the training into four groups – three tailored groups of three with one n2n trainer and one journalist to conduct mock interviews and one group of 14 to receive an overview of media and analyst interactions. n2n also arranged for a journalist to speak to the group trainees to give them a journalist’s insight on what they are hoping to achieve in interviews.
Result
With all training courses, n2n requests that trainees fill out evaluation forms to help us constantly tailor and improve courses. The Services half day training courses rated as either excellent or good from all attendees and all media interactions have remained on message since the training.
