Challenge
Following the launch of Sun’s Open Storage offerings the previous year, Sun need to continue the momentum built up and continue to position Open Storage as the solution to data growth and reduced budgets in data centres.
Solution
n2n communications developed an online media plan to highlight the benefits of Open Storage while also addressing the pain points that companies were experiencing in storage infrastructure.
The solution was developed in three phases:
- Conduct research into the storage challenges faced by IT and C level executives in ANZ
- Draft research paper to explore these challenges and position Open Storage as a solution
- Market the report and generate leads using an integrated online, media and web strategy
Marketing the report involved:
- Developing OpenStorageANZ Twitter account
- Liaising with existing Sun groups on Facebook and LinkedIn to push the messaging and drive people to download the report
- Web assets on the Australian and New Zealand websites
- Email marketing to Sun, partner and publication databases
- Pay per click project
- Media and blogger relations
Results
As a result of the campaign more than 600 copies of the research paper were downloaded and 150 qualified sales leads were generated. n2n is now working with Sun on the next phase of the campaign to continue to generate leads.
