Media Round Table
Challenge
APC is a global provider of data centre power management and cooling solutions that deliver significant energy savings for businesses. APC s challenge was to cut through the green noise and hype being generated by many vendors and effectively communicate its energy efficiency value proposition to media and the business community.
In the absence of a strong news story, n2n made recommendations around a media roundtable that focused on a highly topical issue impacting businesses and their use of highly energy efficient IT solutions and practices.
Solution
To develop the media roundtable, n2n:
Identified key speakers and third parties to participate in the roundtable, including customers, analysts and resellers
Identified a hot topic on the Green IT agenda the enforcement of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 and conducted briefing discussions with stakeholders to develop a speaking program that would engage media and generate coverage
Assisted in speaker presentation development
Developed media kit content, including executive biographies, news releases and images
Coordinated and managed event logistics and media attendance
Results
n2n secured broad media coverage and journalists attendance at both events.
For the roundtable n2n secured:
Attendance of 10 journalists from top-tier publications, including: Mahesh Sharma, Jeanne-Vida Douglas, Simon Sharwood, Angus Kidman Merri Mack and Stuart Corner
Coverage in top tier media including: The Australian, BRW, Voice and Data, and iTwire
APCs energy efficiency and green campaign is ongoing and n2n continues to proactively identify and develop media campaigns that enable APCs messages to cut through the noise and reach its audiences.
